Biology

The Ethernal are a mutated variety of either the Primean Human or Kanukai species. to become an Ethernal, a individual must be born with the Ethernus Gene, which is incredibly rare. Furthermore a individual has to endure a near death experience for the mutation itself to take place. In appearance they are identical to their non-Ethernal counterparts.

Mutation effects

NOTE: These tests were done by order of the Terran Federation.

A Ethernus mutation takes place during a near death experience, at the moment death seems imminent and where any non-Ethernal person would have passed away. During the mutation, the patient experiences extreme pain, as of this time, there is no treatment to this pain. The mutation is permanent.

Tests that were ran on the Ethernal reveiled a complete seizure of the aging process, making scientists theorize a infinite lifespan. The Ethernal are able to regenerate an hundred times faster than any species on record. They are not invulnerable to damage, but they can't die from it. During a test involving a heavy rotary cannon, the specimen was not ripped apart as expected, but collapsed on the floor and regained consciousness after 12 hours. After questioning the subject, it was revealed that the subject did feel everything.

Further testing revealed that only one metal is able to do permanent damage to an ethernal:

[REDACTED BY REQUEST OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEATHCARE]. The subject died of their injuries.
