Operation Clean slate

For more info, check this article (coming soon) In the year 1947 EST, two years after the Terran Commonwealth Rediscovered Earth. The Terran Commonwealth Admiralty decided they needed to covertly protect the planet to prevent a extinction level event, they laid out a series of protocols known as the Intelligent Primitive Protection Directive (IPP Directive).

As part of this operation, 1500 IIA Agents were dispatched to the surface and ordered to infiltrate the highest ranks of countries, which was mostly successful, the only failures being the US, Russia, China and North Korea. Next to this, the 20th fleet would be deployed to the orbit of Jupiter and instructed to lay low until needed.

Protocol 45

Most notable of these IPP protocols is protocol 45, used in case of the imminent self destruction of a species. This protocol was ordered by rear Admiral Boris van Dijk of the 20th fleet on the 25th of March 2025 (EST) due to imminent use of Nuclear weapons. After the protocol was ordered, all Terran Commonwealth assets were ordered to rendezvous sites on and in orbit of Earth. The 20th fleet arrived in high Earth orbit 3 hours after protocol 45 was ordered, which was just in time as ICBMs were observed by navy personnel upon leaving impulse space.

At this point, The European Union was completely under Commonwealth control and the people were covertly prepared for integration with the Terran Commonwealth with EU laws and EU level services. When protocol 45 was ordered, the EU pledged allegiance to the Commonwealth with minimal public protest. An estimated 99% of all nuclear weapons were destroyed resulting in minimal lives lost.

After this The US seceded to the Terran Commonwealth willingly, stating technological inferiority and thankfulness for saving them from nuclear annihilation. All other countries, whose infiltrations had failed, resisted and launched attacks along the EU and African borders. This ultimately resulted in the orbital bombardment of Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang. On the 9th of May 2025 (EST), the Terran Commonwealth seized complete control of Earth and Executive power was given to the UN afterwards.

Aftermath

On May 9th 2025 (EST) Russia, China and North Korea formally surrendered to the Terran Commonwealth, signing the Eath Unification Charter, signifying world peace. The Terran Commonwealth started integration efforts at this time, this did not mean that it was possible at this point to formally join the Commonwealth as that would require a local government.

They started with introducing new cultures to Earth and also started training Earths engineers to use Commonwealth Technology.

Formal Integration with the Terran commonwealth

On December 12th 2040 (EST), the Terran Commonwealth seceded stellar executive power to the UN in the Unification treaty. The UN took the Unification Charter and combined it with the UN Charter, creating the Constitution of the Solar System. Two days later the UN formally requested the Terran Commonwealth for integration, which if accepted would make the UN a member of the Commonwealth.

On January 31st 2045 (GST) or in the year 3227 (GST, same date). The Terran Commonwealth Senate held a integration hearing with the UN, which reulted in a vote. This vote passed with 2750 in favor, 157 against and 15 abstained votes. This made the UN, and by extension, the Solar system, the 2923rd member state.
