Kanukai are the first species to be inorganically grown, followed by the Primean Human. They were the first to revolt against the Primeans as well.

Biology

Kanukai are humanoid creatures, appearing tall and slender. They posses average levels of intelligence in all fields except for tactics. They are the first species created by the Primeans. Unlike the Primeans, The Kanukai lay eggs. Around 25% of all Kanukai Births present with useable wings. Due to their biology, they are weaker when in the air due to a combination of hollow bone structures and their more vulnerable bellies being exposed mid flight.

Originally, The Kanukai were made to have a livespan of 150 years, but due to a Genetic stabilization event, Their livespan reached 1000 years in 2500 years, this is where it stayed on average.

Sustenance

The Kanukai are Carnivorous. Unlike Primean and Primean Human biologies, the Kanukai are able to adapt their Respiratory system to breathe in any non-corrosive gas, meaning they would be able to live on any planet with an atmosphere. Like the Primeans, they are able to drink any non-corrosive liquid.

Abilities

Kanukai posses a above average arm strength, making them very effective in hand to hand, close quarters combat. All Kanukai are able to glide in atmosphere, 25% of specimens are able to fully fly. Kanukai posses a thicker skin than most species, making them more durable.

Ethernus Gene

Like the Primean Human, the Kanukai have a small gennetic chance to be born with the Ethernus Gene. In the Kanukai's case, it would be 1% of all births.

Culture

Unfortunately, the Federal Archive has no record of Kanukai Culture before the Empire Civil War.

Kanukai are known to live with their Clans, all clans have politiccal power, but the physically strongest clan rules. Originally calling Kanukai IV home before the Trinity Incident. The Kanukai live by a strict creed, commonly referred to as the Creed of Kanukai, it states that honor is found in taking a live, only by close quarters combat, the inverse is also true.

Contrary to popular belief, there are Kanukai scientists and engineers. They commonly specialise in military industry and medicine. Kanukai built ships commonly have heavy front armor plating to assist in ramming other ships, these ships do have ranged EMP weapons.

Trinity Incident

The events of the Trinity Incident resulted inn a third of the Kanukai Populus to be eradicated, bringing a significant hit to their demographics. The events of the Trinity Incident enraged the Kanukai. Opting to secretly help the Resistance of Prime during the Prime Civil War.

Post Trinity Incident

The Kanukai that survived the Trinity Incident migrated to Kanukai I, as it has a similar environment. Relations between Humanity and the Kanukai remained tense since. The Kanukai continued in their traditions and remained in a clan based structure.
